Compassionate, Beautiful 🌹 Gorgeous, Mary Alieh, daughter of princess Mafor (Nzaghawah) was born in 1940 in Mankon Bamenda.
In those days, there were various cultural, social and economic reasons why girls were not allowed to attend school. Traditional gender roles and expectations limited the opportunities for girls to receive an education. Additionally, economic factors and the need for girls to contribute to household chores also played a role in limiting their access to Education.
Mary Alieh was not opportune to attend school. She was deeply interested in Religion. A moralist, God fearing, prayerful, churchgoing and a devoted christian.
She got married at the age 16 and had 10 children. Accepting the things to which fate had imposed on her, she loved the people and everyone with whom fate had brought them together, and did so with all her heart. This unconditional love and sacrifices has made her children what they are today.
Mary Alieh was an inspiring Soul, always there for all who came to her with their troubles. The little she had seen of the world taught her to look upon the errors of others with sorrow not with anger. Her kindness and compassion knew no bounds. She had a warm smile for everyone she met. Her smiles was the most beautiful expression of her Kind nature. If you haven’t smiled today, I encourage you to imitate Mary Alieh’s power of a Smile.
